What Does CBD Feel Like?

From scientists to athletes and bloggers, everyone is talking about the soothing effects of CBD. While the research is expanding, people are still asking what it actually feels like? To answer this question, we will explore the differences between THC and CBD and then hear from the ULU CBD users about their experiences.

What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, comes from a strain of cannabis plants called hemp. CBD is a compound called a cannabinoid, one of over a hundred found in the cannabis plant.

What makes pure CBD oil so useful? Firstly, when you ingest CBD, it interacts with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to boost your overall well-being. The ECS is a system in the body that facilitates communication among cells, and it is vital for proper functioning. The ECS is responsible for regulating a myriad of bodily functions such as your mood, appetite, sleep, pain response, digestion, and immune system. Therefore, while CBD may not be a cure-all product, it does have the potential to boost your health and promote a better quality of life.

As CBD oil research expands, more people realise the benefits cannabidiol may offer, including:

  • Improving sleep quality and quantity
  • Aiding cigarette withdrawal symptoms
  • Lifting your mood and aiding mood disorders such as anxiety and depression
  • Reduces inflammation which can be helpful for sore muscles and alleviating symptoms of skin conditions.
  • CBD oil is also a natural pain relief

Does CBD oil get you high?

In short – no. The side effects of CBD are often questioned, and for a good reason. Its close relation with marijuana means the public misunderstands CBD.

Taking a closer look at the hemp plant and CBD production will help you understand this. Firstly, within the hundred cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, there is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Unlike CBD, THC is the compound causing intoxicating effects. Secondly, during production, the hemp plants are cloned to have a low THC level, and then it is further extracted to create a pure CBD oil.

Here in the UK, all CBD oils contain less than 0.2% THC, but here at ULU, we go one step further and guarantee our products always have less than 0.0005% THC. What’s more, we third-party test our range and stand by our quality guarantee.

In summary, UK CBD products should only contain trace amounts of THC – which is not enough to cause a high.

What does CBD feel like?

The question everyone is asking.

Now you know it doesn’t cause any intoxicating effects, so you must be wondering, what does CBD oil feel like? Users have reported that pure CBD oil brings a calming sensation to the person who uses it. From less racing thoughts, lowered anxiety and a boost in your mood, these are some of the ways CBD can make you feel.

What does CBD oil feel like:

Wakefulness and focused: On days when you feel groggy and fatigued, CBD may be able to give you the boost you need. A study published in 2014 researched the effect of CBD as a wake-promoting agent. It demonstrated how CBD affects the Hypothalamus, which plays a role in alertness. Therefore, when you’re feeling those familiar sluggish feelings arise, reach for your CBD.

Energy boost: When we think of energy boosters like coffee, energy drinks and some fitness drinks, these tend to provide a harsh spike in energy. However, after a few hours, you’re likely to experience a sudden crash and fatigue. On the contrary, organic CBD oil gives you a more sustained, long term boost of energy. As mentioned above, it will help you feel more awake and focused too.

Relaxation and anti-anxiety: CBD oil is known to affect mood disorders; in particular, it promotes feelings of relaxation and calm. When CBD boosts your ECS and responds to the CB1 and CB2 receptors in your body, it helps the brain release more serotonin and manages the sleep cycle. Due to this, taking CBD relaxes your body, slows racing thoughts and overall creates more ease. It is not only a good option for anxiety sufferers, but it has shown significant benefits for sleep issues too.

What does CBD vaping feel like?

As vaping allows you to inhale the product, the compound enters your bloodstream much quicker than other alternatives. CBD vape users have reported they feel an instant hit of calm when they use e-liquids, which they find ideal for calming anxious feelings. Furthermore, vaping CBD is a convenient option for people with busy lifestyles. CBD makes it easy to regulate your well-being from improved concentration, wakefulness, and a quick hit of relaxation.

How to take CBD?

How you take CBD oil will depend on what form you get; these include:

  • Bath bombs
  • Oils and tinctures
  • Capsules
  • Gummies
  • Topical creams
  • Vape liquids

There is no set dosage for cannabidiol products, so we suggest if you’re getting oil or capsules, start with a lower dose and increase the strength as you see fit. Our range of Organic CBD oil comes in 5-20% options to suit every need. For the most effective results, place the oil under your tongue for 30 seconds to a minute before swallowing. This process will help the CBD get into your bloodstream quicker.

If you’re purchasing CBD vape liquid, the strength you require will depend on how often you use your vape. For example, if you only use it a couple of times per day, we suggest getting a higher dosage to ensure you’re getting enough CBD. On the other hand, if you tend to vape frequently throughout the day, opt for a lower dosage to spread your CBD consumption over the day.
